A contractual job is a type of employment that requires employees to work for specific hours or for office-hours and need to sign and agree to terms of a contract before they begin working. Contractual work is usually for a specified amount of time and ends upon completion of a project or assignment. Some employers prefer to hire contractual workers if their workload fluctuates or if they want to test workers' capabilities before hiring them permanently or to lower their expenses which otherwise need to spend in hiring a permanent staff. Contractual workers are often paid a lump sum on monthly basis and the pay is quite low when we compare it with that of the permanent staff in the same designation.
